Reworked Series

This series began unexpectedly when a neighbor clearing out an old studio uncovered several forgotten rolls of canvas. Primed and partially painted over 30 years ago, these surfaces had been left dormant, rolled up and tucked into a dusty corner, their potential suspended in quiet waiting. Before they could be discarded, I rescued three of the rolls. The canvases textured, brittle in places, and softened in others became part of the medium. Working directly onto these aged foundations, I allowed the original base coats to guide the palette and emotion of each piece. Over time, layers of new paint and mixed media have given these lost materials new life.
